Well It's a New Year!! Hopefully this year brings lots of new things. I am going to try to update more often . I even put on my calendar with an alarm to go off so we shall see if that works.

Tristan is still getting infusions every 28 days. The hospital switch to a different company for the blood infusion which cause all the kids to have the exact same reaction/side effect to. So now there back getting the normal makers of the infusion. Thank Gosh too! The side effects were not good at all. Plus it seemed like Tristan was sicker then usual with that brand . It's been a interesting couple of months to say the least and Tristan has lots of sick down time. I hope this is the start to a better year of things to come.

As of October Tristan's infusions levels got raised. He is such a bright child. He's a real trooper . He has been do good since the increase so they decided to take him off his antibodics that he takes every day since birth. Well it only last 4 days then he strated getting sick so now it's a sit and waiting game until the next infusion to see if he will be ok till the next infusion or if he will stay sick. :( In Decemeber we will have 2 infusions one on the 9 and the 30th. Time is patience but sometimes it seems forever waiting to see if the no antibiotics is going to work . Last time the tried the no antibiotics he only made it 5 days and stayed sick. So he is doing a little better.

Well Tristan's medical is all still the same ! We still get infusions every 28 Days like Clock work . He is still being Home Schooled. We use A Beka school system the last few years , This year we are still using A Beka but we are doing the Academy side . Which is an actual school in Florida and he now has a Teacher and class room . So far we love the system!.

I promise I will try to be a better blogger :) & not make my post so many months apart!

Time Rewind Knitting !!!

Well I have been Knitting and making a ton of things. I knitted more then the pictures I am posting but this will give you a taste. I did knit a shawl for Anika to which I will have to find ? It has disappeared from my computer:( I know why so many people love to knit baby items they are very easy and much quicker then knitting an adult sweaters. Now the socks pictured above were knitted by I think Connie I just made the yarn everything else I made for some very special baby's ! They are all super stylish kiddos . Right know I am knitting some socks for my husband's Aunt and a Sweater for my self !

Time Rewind Anika's Cancer Benefit

So you all remember me talking about my friend Anika who was very young (36) and has/had Breast Cancer! Well I am very happy to say she is now Cancer FREE!! Thank you god!! The pictures above are Cupcakes that I made for her benefit I did make over 400 of these yummy things. They were all dairy free and egg free:) They were a hit and I hope they were able to make a lot of money :) The flavors by pictures are as follows the First picture Flavor was a Chocolate Strawberry cake with a Strawberry Frosting :) the Second picture Flavor was a Butter Cream cake with a Rum Frosting ;) the Third picture flavor was a Pumpkin Spice cake with a Cinnamon Maple Frosting :) Did I ever tell you I love to Cook! It was for sure a sea of cupcakes but Oh SO YUMMY!!!! I love you (like a sister) Anika and I am over joyed that you are Cancer FREE!

So as you all just read Tristan is on a strict diet. DO you know that salt (sodium) is in every thing and I do mean every thing . Even the health stuff like fruits and vegetables. Which I was totally totally shocked by. I mean what are you suppose to eat nothing>> My quick trips to the store have turned into hours spent reading the labels . Most products are crazy in salt! Why do we put so much Salt in our food. I mean I was given a book to tell you the true facts of salt in all foods. Did you know if say no salt on the label it has Salt. Weird I know but it's true. EXAMPLE Celery for 2 medium stalks is 100mg of salt. Carrots are 60mg of salt for like 1 oz of baby carrots. Well off my soap box now. We are making due but it's very hard . Did you know a tiny can of Tuna Fish is suppose to feed two people?? I mean most people eat a whole can, I know I did. Not anymore. LOL . Tristan's next infusion is April 1st and we have another infusion at the end of April too.

O.K. Wow I am a very bad blogger! I am very sorry that I haven't blogged in a long time. Tristan still get his infusions every 28 days like clock work. Those won't change ever. For awhile it's been kinda crazy on my end. Tristan for awhile has had doctors appts every week and some times twice a week. This is what we have found out so far.

Heart= Many of you have read we are trying to find out what has been the cause of Tristan's chest pains. He has them every day. So they thought it was a heart issues. After 9 months they finally ruled out any heart conditions. THANK YOU GOD . They said is heart is healthy and maybe it was lungs or the neurological condition side of things. They also sending us to LPIDS clinic because his cholesterol is to high .

LIPIDS= The Lipid's doctors (another type of heart & lung doctors) Boy that was a very long day (8-9hr appt) So what happens at these appts for that long. We see the doctor and they ran some test and then we meet with doctors and dietitian. I am very happy to report that the dietitian said they way I cook and the ingredients I use was some of the best she has seen in a diet in a long time.(I had to write out what products we have and take in a diet log of what we eat) They only thing she told me is maybe we should add a little more fish into our diet. So his cholesterol issues are hereditary. Did you know children can get that kinda problem so early in life. I sure didn't and they make medication for it to. They decided that Tristan didn't need medication just yet. Because they think that his other current issues with his kidneys and lungs may be playing a part. They also ordered a exercise stress test to see if chest pains would show up and how his lungs are working . (he has Asthma to ) They also said he can only have 300mg of Cholesterol a day in his diet.

Urology= One day Tristan woke up and said it hurt to urinate. So I made an appt with his regular pediatrician. This is was the day before infusion too. I was worried about a kidney infection. Mind you I am paranoid when it comes to his kidney's because it is the only dangerous side affect to his infusions is kidney (renal) failure. Pediatrician tested him say he's clear but his urethra (penis hole) closing . Then he says usually it because of skin growth. Except Tristan doesn't have that problem visible. So we get sent to Urology specialist. So we went through lots of testing and many appts. We found out a couple of things . First was that he to didn't know why his hole has closed to the side of thread. We will be having Surgery On March 22 nd to open the hole back to normal size and to find out why it was closing since it wasn't a skin issues. Second we found out his sodium & calcium in his urine is extremely to high. Which means something wrong in the Kidney area . Just WHAT I DID NOT WANT TO HEAR!

Renal=(kidneys) So we see the kidney specialist and have more test. By this time I feel for my son because he's like a human pin cushion. So this doctor tells us Tristan kidneys aren't filtering properly. HUH? Well his sodium and calcium isn't filtering through at all. Which gives him to high levels if left untreated it can cause stones or worse Renal Failure. So the doctor put him on a very strict diet. Less then 2 grams of salt a day. Not to mention he has other diet restrictions from the Lipids clinic. So his new diet is less the 2grams of salt a day , no more then 300mg of Cholesterol a day , Bump up his potassium intake and Calcium intake. This all makes for a very hard diet especially for a 8 year old. So my whole entire house is on his diet. We go back and have more test done in May/June to see how things are . He also has slight case of reflux of the kidneys .

Stress Test== So we learned that Tristan sits on the verge of having activity/exercise induced asthma. He already has Asthma and he always had the type where he just stop breathing . He has never wheezed or coughed before an attack he just drops from not being able to breath. I call that the scary type of Asthma. SO now with the activity and exercise asthma we know why. His lung just shut down . So they have said he could be developing lung disease. Which most of the kids who get treatment with Tristan have already been diagnosed with lung disease . Since he is on the verge of it they want to try to prevent it. The stress test was very hard for Tristan to do. So they have instructed us to buy a Treadmill and Tristan must walk on it 1 mile in a program that they design (meaning the treadmills has to be able to be programed and it has to also incline and decline by it self.) . So this type of treadmill is expensive the start at about 2,000 and go up. Which is money I don't have laying around. God will provide so I trust. They hope if he follows there program that his lung function will improve and not continue to go south. Why can't he just walk/run outside you may be asking? Well simple they don't want him to because his medication to bring him out of a Asthma attack is a breathing machine (nebulaizer) which needs electricity. They did this in a test run at the doctors office and in about 20 mins worth of walking he had to have 5 treatments and his oxygen levels at the time even after treatment were only 80 percent. So I have to have all things ready to use when he does this walking plan.

Tristan is definitely a unique child . Not having an immune system is always throwing us a curve ball sometimes several at time. All you can do is breath and take one day at a time. I also have to home school Tristan due to condition. Some days are rough others are good. Tristan also has muscle and joint weakness . I thank God for all the people that donate blood and plasma ! I would like to thank all you donors of plasma and blood. You don't think when your donating that your are saving a persons life you think I will be saving someone in accident or so forth that just need it once. With out you donors I would not have a son! Thank you very much there isn't enough Thank yous in the world to Thank you enough.

Well I hope you all are doing very well! We had a wonderful Christmas and Good New Years.

Tristan is still getting infusions every 4 wks like clock work. In Decemeber we had some urinary isssuse and some Renal issuse both lead to going to specialist. I tell you it's Januray and we are still having appts every week . (2x a week) . They are trying to figure out whats going on in his body but I will get into all that after January when Hopefully they figure it all out!

Thank you god for another year with my son! Thank you god for all the doctors who are very brilliant to figure it all out !

My Lovely Friend ANIKA is 36 , She was just diagnosed. This is one of those women is is very amazing and very strong. She has 3 Children. I ask that all you pray for her family ! She will beat this Cancer !

Rewind Time!

So I know I haven't blogged since before June. Well there has been a lot that has happened. Lets Start in June . My dad passed away on June 16th, he was the young age of 51! I being the oldest got all of the responsibility of taking care of everything. Well we took Tristan for family visitation at the wake (Sunday)for 1 hr. Then we had my husband's parents come pick him up. By 2am Tristan was very sick and stayed sick . His infusion wasn't until the end of the week and he was getting sick and staying that way. Well infusion day finally came and thank goodness, but by this time he was really in bad shape. After Dr.K examined him he decide that they need to raise Tristan's infusion level to get hopefully help him get better. Mind you this whole time I feel HORRIBLE ! I took my son to my dad's wake for just 1hr during family time and it resulted in him getting a larger dose of infusion levels PERMANENTLY! I though my son should say goodbye to his Grandpa , boy was I wrong! Never AGAIN! I took about another week for him to start to feel better. This was June Infusion.

JULY -- Was a very busy time trying to run around and get all my dad's business taken care of, and getting his things prepared . I was barley home it seemed like . Thank gosh my husband was able to be with Tristan and Lilly. Well with the large dose of the infusion more things start to happen .. We noticed that the week before Tristan's July infusion he started getting extremely tired and his whole body hurt , plus all his energy is drained. I know that more things happen to him the large the does goes. As of June we are at a 1 and 3/4 of a bottle . Which is really really close to the 2 bottle max. Which worries me .
Some good things did happen in July! Seemed like every time I was at my Dad's house cleaning it out my cell phone would ring. Make-A-Wish would call me to tell me that Tristan had been approved for a wish. They also said they would be in touch very soon. Couple weeks went by and I was back down at my dad's and they called again to schedule a time to come meet with Tristan. The other good thing that happend was the Dr. K . walked in a said "let's take Tristan off his antibiotics and see how he is plus I want you to expose him to some people" I say " after what we just had happen last month are you CRAZY!" Dr.K " You can yell at me if it doesn't work! We need to see if him being on the large dose of the infusion is going to be able to take him off his antibiotics. This will also tell us if he will ever be able to come off them." my response" o.k. he's been on those since birth. I trust you but if get sick then what happens ? Does the infusion level go up again ? " Needless to say two days after his infusion we took him to Six Flags he last 4hr and started feeling sluggish so we left. I will say the park was pretty empty. After the next day Tristan seemed fine . Which was great. Couple days later he was sick and stayed sick!

August -- Infusion came and the experiment was over Tristan was put back on his Antibiotics permanently! Unless they think they want to try it again . Tristan also started 2nd grade in his home school program. Tristan was also sick all month long he had something wrong with his eyes that they couldn't figure out what type of infection it was along with a bunch of other things.

September -- Infusion went as normal and things started to finally look better .. or so we thought. Tristan was test for his Cholesterol in August and we got the results in September. His bad Cholesterol is way way to high over 200 in the upper 200 and his good Cholesterol was below 30 . Tristan has been having chest pains again to so we are will be going back to the Dallas Heart Center and to the LIPID heart Doctors over the next couple of months. They will be testing him for the heart condition that my father had just to be safe. Good news in September Tristan got to meet with the wish granters to find out his wishes. It was a very surreal moment. You never know how your going to feel. I have very mixed emotions about all of the stuff with Make -A-Wish! A couple weeks later we find out that Tristan's wish to go to DISNEY WORLD will be granted. In November we go to DISNEY! We will be staying at GIVE KIDS THE WORLD which isn't for the general public. It's for wish granting organizations . Tristan can't fly so we will be driving out to Disney.

July and August Infusion !

They both went OK. I am just know getting things back in order. It's been a rough couple of months . Hopefully once I get back into the swing of life (Which should be very soon Sorry) I will make a very long post. Bare with me just a little longer :)

I will explain all that in the update. It's been crazy here . MY dad passed away as well as all kinds of other things!

Ok I know I'm such a very bad blogger. For that I am truly sorry.. I have had very many things happen. Let see where to start ?? Let's go all the way back to Tristan's Surgery on Jan 21.

Tristan had his tonsils removed.. His tonsils have been infected with a bacteria most of his life. His tonsils were very badly infected. They were covering most of his throat and were trying to move into his gland in his neck . They were actually pushing his gland in his neck out which made it seem like he had compacted glands. Thank goodness they weren't compacted that would have been very painful to fix on top of everything else. Plus it looked like he had some damaged tissue.
Thank goodness when they did the surgery that once they took out the tonsils everything that was wrong went back to normal because it was all tonsils . Everything fixed itself when all the tonsils came out. Thank you God for making it all tonsils and all the other work didn't have to be done:) The Tonsil recovery was bad enough. Lets start after surgery...
We were in recovery and Tristan start getting sick and vomiting every where about every 5 mintues. The nurses and doctors where worried that Tristan would reputare and start bleeding which would require another surgery. So We did what we know how to do Pray that he didn't start bleeding. Which I can say worked very well Tristan never bleed at all. We had to spend the night in the hospital because he kept vomiting all the time. They gave him medications to keep from vomiting which didn't work at all . Nothing seemed to work . So once again We all (nurse,doctors,family) Starting praying that he could get some relief and be able to sleep and heal with no problem. Finally he stopped . The next day we were released . We were given very detailed instrustions on what to look for and what he was and wasn't suppose to do. One any bleeding in thorart or nose come straight to back to hospital for more surgery. Two Tristan is not do anything except lay down or sit up no running, playing rough etc., jumping etc. for two to four weeks depends on his healing. Basically watch tv and play his video games. Try telling this to a child who is very active . Nothing but super soft foods like liquids for 4 wks. He wasn't thrilled with
So now where at home and it's not even been a full 24 hrs after leaving the hospital were having issues again! Let's do this from how we experienced it. It's 12:45 am were just getting ready for bed(It's been a very long day) Tristan's sleeps in our room when he doesn't feel good or has had surgery or infusions. Were tucking him in on his pallet he's made. (this is at the end of my bed ) Turn on the tv and get in our bed. All of the sudden Tristan says" he doesn't feel good." I say" ok what's wrong. I hear nothing " I say again " Whats wrong?" I see my son stand up with a tear's rolling down his cheek and he's tapping on his chest .. then I see his stomach all sucked in like he doesn't have one or it's up in his rib cage. I realize he's not breathing and can't breath . We quickly jump into action . We give the inhaler doesn't twice doesn't work at all ... I set up the breathing machine with steroids in it give that 4 times and finally things start looking a little better he can breath but still not like he should. I call the hospital and let them know where on our way back and whats going on. We get there and are there for over 4 hrs and they have no clue why this happened or why or have a reason. This isn't the first time my son has quit breathing or had extremely bad breathing issues. Thankfully we are very calm and level head and have been trained on what to do. So with no reason on why this happened we were sent home with more things to watch for. It's 6 am in in the morning and we finally get to sleep. Tristan is finally sleeping . I think the rest of the night it seem like we slept in shifts or with one eye open so to speak. Well the rest of the day went ok..... Now it's time to go to bed again. Once again we put him to bed. For some odd reason I woke up at 3 am I couldn't sleep . I hear my son making this awful wheezing noise So I go to the end of the bed to check on him as I get to him I see he's dead asleep and his wheezing is getting worse and worse (like he's gasping for air) so I wake Dale up and we get his breathing machine set up with the steroids I put the mask to his face . At this point Tristan is still asleep and having breathing issues. We couldn't get him to wake up. After 3 rounds of steroids he finally wakes up but has no clue whats going on or why this is happening . So once again I am talking to the hospital and they have no clue whats happening or why. After about 40 min Tristan is back to normal and ready to go back to sleep . Want to talk about not going back to sleep. Now If I hadn't been awake I don't won't to think of what might have happened or if he had been in his room on the other side of the house. Or sleeping very well for the next couple of weeks.

Well that was all the nightmares that happened . After these nights Tristan Started having chest pains 5 to 6 times a day for the next couple of months. We have went to a heart specialist to make sure nothing is wrong with his heart now. Thankfully everything has came out fine. They haven't found out why he's getting chest pains. His heart looks good. But still no answer on why the chest pains :) Thankfully it's April and I can say they have finally went away but, he does still get them every once in awhile but not every day. There was many other things that happened during Feb-April but that would be like reading a book.

Now It's April and were back to his normal self:) We did have infusion in Jan, Feb, and in March we had 2 infusions. Our April Infusion is on the 30th of this month now were all caught up to speed. I am very great full that my doctors have shown me what to do and that they have enough confidence in me that I know what to do and how to handle things.

I am sorry for the great detail but I wanted people to see or understand what it sorta like in my shoes. I am thinking of posting what it's like a day in my life . So people can see how much work goes into having a child with medical needs. So next time you meet someone with a child with medical needs , you want judge them or wonder but maybe you'll take the time to talk to them and ask how there day is going. I have learned from other who have children with medical issuse that some times they just want to talk or to have someone tell them there doing a good job.
So my challenge to all you next time you out and you see someone like us I challenge to ask them how there day is going and tell them god loves them and they are doing a wonderful job. You'll will leave them with a smile on there face and yours.

Infusion 15,16,17 (DEC, JAN, FEB)

Well the infusions went good. They will keep going every 4 weeks. Now I should be able to get back to details . On every infusions . Now that things are not crazy. Tomorrow I update about the surgery that Tristan had in January. We just had another infusion ON March 5th and we have another one ON March 30th so I will up date those two infusion together since they are in the same month.

Wow, Where did the time go. Has it really been since November since I posted last?? I will be posting and catching up very soon. There has been a lot of things that have happened on my end. Life has just been busy. This year fingers crossed I should be able to update while where at treatments or later that day! As long as everything keeps going on track.

13th & 14th Updates WOW It's been 1 yr

Well where to start. Lets See. The top picture is from his 13Th infusion. Boy was that a day . The bottom picture was from his 14Th Infusion which was his 1yr mark. Now I know some of you are going that 14 infusion in 12month period. Yes That is correct there were two months that me got 2 infusion because we got them every 4 weeks. Tristan has grown so much this last year. This year alone we have went Thur a lot.
We are now Homeschooling Tristan. It is helping keep his infections down some which is a plus. We are talking with the doctors about doing surgery on his throat. I will keep you updated on that b/c that can be dangerous. Will get into that once we cross that bridge. He is still taking all the same medications to. He will continue to have his infusions every 4 weeks like clock work.

Tristan's 11 & 12th Infusion updates!

Well let's see where to begin........ The 11Th infusion went OK except they had a very hard time getting the tubing in. Plus Tristan was sick and wasn't feeling well anyways . Which makes things a little harder. He went back to school that Monday and we had some serious issues with the nurse again. I will just say I hope and pray justices is served very soon to her. Which I am sure it will be because I am really ticked and her and so his Tristan's Doctor. I must say if your in the medical field you should do what the doctors ask of you and not take it out on the child. I won't get into what happen but it was not good and MY SON NO LONGER GOES TO SCHOOL THERE!!!!!!!!

Tristan is now being home schooled . Tristan and I love it! WE are using the A BEKA program which I must say I so Love . I am sad that he will miss his friends but the family's that we know will keep in contact with us.

On to to the 12Th Infusion. No the 12Th infusion is not the one year mark. We started infusion the first week in NOVEMBER OF 2008 . This infusion went really well Tristan was still sick from last month he has a infection that doesn't want to GO AWAY. They again had trouble getting the everything started . Finally got it and going, but at least this time he wasn't throwing up on arrival . He's got a swollen throat with visible white pockets that make hard to get rid of. They have test him for everything and say it a viral thing. Which normally for Tristan can take up to 3 months or better to get rid of. We are on month number 2. Plus he still getting sick about 5 days after the infusion which he shouldn't be. They have change his asthma medications to something stronger b/c he didn't do so well on his breathing test. He is also still taking all other medications to. Now that we are homeschooling him it takes some of the worry out of maybe not getting so many infections. Plus if we need to get infusions more often we can or if they need to put the port in .

We were able to take Tristan to see the races the day after his infusion..... He did really well for the first hour and then started having a hard time breathing so we bought a towel and made him a mask cause ding bat me didn't pack that in my bag. He has so much fun! He's always wanted to go and when we tired before he didn't make it but 5 minute's before getting sick and heading to the hospital. I hope we will get to take him to do other things .....

Tristan's 10th Infusion

On July 17th was Tristan's 10th infusion. Well let just say it was a bumpy day. Tristan was fine when he woke up, but shortly after we started the infusion he started not feeling well and running a fever. Which has happened before. He did start feeling better by the next day. Well normally the doctor and his interns disagree on some thing with my son. The doctor and I are usually on the same page and interns on a different page. This time the interns that have disagreed on many things finally are seeing the light and agreeing with his doctor. They actually said that my son isn't following anything or any study that they can find. They proceed to tell me my son is outside the box in every area. Which means the treatments aren't going the way they thought. They told me to prepare myself and I said I've been prepared I don't think you were. There were some test results that came in which weren't great news. The treatments by now should be working more then they should. His Doctor is the best in the world and told us that he thinks Tristan will never get to come of his antibiotics and he's more then 99.9% sure of that. Now when every he get sick we will have to get double the antibiotics (which we do already and have always done) but now this will happen on the first 24 hours instead of waiting like the interns like to do. See most people who are sorta like my son have one or the other wrong not all antibodies plus B memory cells and other things. He also said the deadline to even think about coming off the blood infusion isn't until the age of 15 or 16 if they don't switch him to the life time side before that. You only get to come off when cured! Not what anyone wants to here. Oh yeah a miracle will happen with my child God will fix him!

Sorry if this isn't making much sense but It's really complex to explain.

Tristan 9th Infusion

Sorry for the delay in post buzy time around here. Next Infusion is July 17th

There was no change in his treatment plan except we are back to not having an end date again. This infusion was June 19Th. Which was a Friday . Tristan wasn't feel good this day at all. He woke up throwing up which he continued to do most of the day. Then when we got there the put his stint in his hand and it bent in two which then lead to him losing a lot of blood. Then on the second try they got the tube all in place then he just started bleeding around the tube and enough that it sent some of tubes back out. Needless to say he lost a lot of blood ! They were able to finally get everything in place and finally stop the bleeding they have no ideal why that happened . We have never had any problems with getting everything started. What made matters worse is he was throwing up on top of it. I will say by the end of the day he was back to feel better and his normal self. It's amazing how things work. The above picture was taken at the end of the day.

Tristan's 8th Infusion

Tristan's 8th infusion was May 19,2009. There has been no change in anything this treatment. We did get to go back to all his normal levels of medication. I haven't posted because I have been super busy. Less then 6 days after the infusion Tristan got sick which then caused him to miss his last couple of days of school. We did get to go the very last day of school because it was a half day and he was able to make it through the day. He currently isn't sick and we have the next infusion on June 19th which is right around the corner. I will be posting more details of everything as I find them out. I do not have pictures this time because I forgot my camera like a ding bat and forgot my phone had a camera. Plus this was the first infusion were just Tristan and I went . Usually his daddy goes to but had to work while there was work . God Bless everyone .

Broken Bones!!

Well it's 2 minute's till midnight on Monday evening or should I say Tuesday morning before I am done typing this. We have a first in our house BROKEN BONES!! Now would you believe it's not my son .(yeah) Its' my daughter. She has managed to break a chunk out of the bottom of her foot on the outer edge. How you ask I have no ideal . She did this on Sunday or at least that is what she is telling us. This child has crazy high pain tolerance like she doesn't feel pain and if she does then something is wrong. Even the E.R. Doctor thought she was faking and asked if she was really hurt because she could stand and do everything the doctors asked and just said it hurt a little. Plus they thought I was just saying she had high pain tolerance. This wasn't the childerns hospital where my son goes either this was a local one. Had I drove 70 plus miles to his hospital they would have not question her pain levels because my son's like that to. Well the doctor was very surprised when she looked at the X-Rays. She said you should be in a lot more pain then what you are.Matter of fact you should be screaming. Then the doctor said she snapped the tendon that goes up your calf and down to the outer part of the ankle and some how in that process it snapped a chunk out of the bone on the outer bottom of the foot. Needless to say the doctor was very very surprised and couldn't believe what she was looking at on the x-rays. So we have a temporary cast and have to go see a ortho surgeon. Hopefully she won't have to have surgery but we will see. I was hoping that neither of my children got my pain tolerance but I now pretty sure they both did.

Well I just have been thinking about setting up a blog for my yarn and I finally done it. Even though it only took Three full years. Tristan's 7th Infusion

Let's see where to start. Well Tristan has been sick since the 10Th day of his 6Th infusion!! So he didn't get to come off the antibiotics . They doubled his antibiotics to help get rid off the infection:( Well many things have now changes as well. This infusion was on April 24Th,2009. The next one is on May 19Th,2009. Well lets just dive into it. Basically they told us that after he gets over the infections he has now then we will go back to the normal medication levels and then we will see how many days after the infusion it takes him to get sick . Since we started this whole process it usually 10 days or less after the infusions and every other month. It's only every other month because those odd months he's put on double medications and stronger medications for 30 days to get rid of the infections. With out that he wouldn't get over them. So once we determine how many days it takes him to get sick then the doctors will decide if we need to start having the blood infusions every 2 or 3 weeks instead of every 4 weeks like we do now. If this happens then everything will change again. They are doing everything they can to try not to bump up his blood levels. He's already only 25% away from the Max. levels of blood and it's been this way sense the 2ND infusion. Once he hits the Max. (which hopefully he will not) then he will switch to having this for the rest of his life. They almost went ahead and bumped him up on this infusion but with talking and trying to figure out some things they decided to try seeing how long it will take for him to get sick after the infusion on May 19Th. Unless he still is sick by May 19Th then it will all change once again. So today is May 7Th and currently still sick but looks like he's finally starting to get better over this week. They also said scratch the June 2010 date to Now they said they really can't give us a official date anymore because to many things keep changing it . The doctors also said Tristan is like a puzzle and that everything that has ever worked or with this treatment is either not working or doing something totally different on my son then it has on others. I still have hope that my son will have his miracle and god will provide for us. So God Bless Everyone who is praying for my son and family We ARE VERY GRATEFUL!

Tristan 6th Infusion

Well where to start. Let see ummmmmmm ......... As you all know this was Tristan's 6Th infusion. Everything went good. Tristan is such a trooper. He doesn't even cry when they put the tube in his hand . Tristan is a very strong child and I think sometimes stronger at handling this than his parents. We did find out some good and sorta bad news on Friday. We have been talking with doctors over how long these treatments will go and when he will be able to quit taking the medications he's on. So we finally got sort of a time line. Lets start with medications . Hopefully on the next treatment (which is on April 24Th) he will get to come off his Antibiotics that he takes everyday. (he has taken these antibiotics every day since around 8 months old) Mind you this will only happen as long as he doesn't get sick this month. If he does get sick this won't happen at all. This would be a huge step. The down side is if he gets sick then he will go back on it plus possibly have the amount of the infusion blood bumped up to the max.

Now the part that seems horrible to think about. Tristan will be getting Infusions until June or July of 2010. Provide everything keeps going good. He will still be getting them every 4 weeks like clock work. What will happen then is they will (provide every things is still going in the right direction) stop treatments for a couple of months and then retest his immune levels to see if he is healed or not. If his levels aren't normal then they will switch his diagnoses and Tristan will probably have to do these for the rest of his life. We also found out that if Tristan gets a major illness he will then go to getting treatments every 3 weeks or every 2 weeks. So lets pray that this stuff all works the first 22 treatments.

Another scary fact is about the donors. Every treatment is about 45 people to make his blood for his infusions. I get this number because he receives 1 full bottle and a 1/2 bottle and it takes 30 people to make 1 full bottle . Are you with me so far. Lets do some math in total my son will be getting 22 treatments. 22 x 45 =990 Different People will have been injected into my son that I have no control over. This seems totally crazy!! But I am glad and very thankful there are people donating. Secretly I wish someone gave me the wrong information

Tristan's 5 th Infusion.

Hello everyone. Well we had our 5Th infusion. Tristan wasn't feeling to good so he went in his pajama pants this time. We didn't have to have the scope test done. Even though I still think they should do it on his throat. We are going to try a medication for the acid reflux . If it doesn't work then we will go into more testing. The did add 6 more medications on top of the several he already takes. He has been getting very short of breath and not being able to breath if he runs about 10 to 15 feet. So they are treating that as really bad asthma. Which normally doesn't flare up unless he really sick. Now it's all the time. So something new to watch out for. I really hope this is all like that old saying THE ROUGH TIMES BEFORE THE CALM OF THE STORM or THE MADNESS BEFORE THE PEACE. This kid is super miracle. His spirit is like that of and old brave warrior. Even the doctors think this they said out of the case they have ever seen my son was like no other and that he was a puzzle. Tristans 4th infusion

Well we had are 4Th infusion on Jan 30Th. Everything went as it has in the past . We are now scheduled through the end of the year for infusions. They are still every 4 weeks. His next infusion will be Feb 27Th. They are also keeping his levels of blood and medications the same . Which is 1 1/2 bottles of blood. Medications are staying at the higher levels to. They did say that he can't go back to just one bottle we will be adding more bottles if he continues to stay sick. We are talking with the doctors also about getting him a scope test done on his throat and stomach. They think he may have acid reflux and that is what is keeping his esophagus and lymph nodes swollen. The test will rule out anything else . I just hope the acid hasn't done to much damage to his throat. Especially because its been this way now for 5 months. If in fact that's what the problem is. Thank You Blood and Plasma Donors

First off I would like to say that went to have my son 3rd infusion on Jan 2 and we didn't get to have it. The blood shipment hadn't arrived yet . So we finally got it yesterday on Jan 6 . But on Friday I learn some scary but great news.

I had asked why the didn't have any blood for the infusion. I explained that if we need to supply the donors then please tell me now and I will get everyone in line. The next new about left me on the floor. They told me that for every 1 bottle of stuff my son receives it take 25-30 people(more closer to 30 people) to make 1 bottle and then take another 6-8 months to get it to where it can be used for him. I then was told that it's the blood and plasma both .(different donors for each) Plus only one company that turns the blood and plasma into the blood immunoglobulins that get infused into my son. Long story short God Bless the Donors

I mean I thought I was OK with coming to terms with 1 person being injected into my kiddo . Especially after being told it couldn't be one our bloods . They assured me it was totally safe. Which in my heart I know that . But with the new information. Lets do the math. My son last treatment they had to up the bottles. So he now gets 1 full bottle and a 1/2 bottle. Plus they up all his medications to.

So I have calculated how many peoples have been injected into him since we started. Are you ready? ( I about hit the floor my self)

105 people my son has been injected with in 3 visits. Now tell me if that doesn't scare the hell out of you? For those that don't know we go every 4 weeks Next treatment is Jan 30th.

Yes Yes on to the Knitting!!

I took the pattern that Cat Bordhi wrote called the Mobius scarf. She also did this pattern on the T.V. show Knitty Gritty. I made it out of Malabrigo Yarns in colorway Apple Green. I used size 10 needles. I also use 1 full skein and 1/2 skein. The pattern calls for you to cast on 80 stitches I casted on 160 stitches, plus I did 4 0r 5 more repeats before starting the lace edge. It turn out really well. I totally love the cast on method that she uses to . If I do another mobius I will be using that cast on. This women is has such a brilliant mind. In 2009 I plan to actually sit a read her New Pathways for the Sock Knitter. I have had this book since it came out but haven't touch it. I know shame on me.

Man where did the time go?

Well I must say it has been awhile since I have posted on here. But to my defense my family has had a extreme amount of thinks happen very fast and quickly. So grab your cup of java and have a read.

Well the day before Halloween we got a pretty upsetting phone call from my son's specialist. He told us that my son was going to have to start Immunoglobulin Blood Infusion treatments every 4 weeks. Which no one on earth wants to hear, right. For those who don't know . My son doesn't develop antibodies plus he has some but they are very low, and he also has extremely low b-memory cells. He has been like this since birth. In the beginning of getting him help the told us we wouldn't have to do this treatment unless we ran out of options. Plus they also told us we would only need one treatment and it would fix him that it was very affective. Meaning he would take it well and then he wouldn't have to take any more medication. But when they called that wasn't the case . They told me my son would have to take the blood infusions every 4 weeks like clock work and he would have to still stay on all his medications. I felt like I had just been shot. My heart sank to the floor and I felt everything around me spinning. Once I got my brain back in place I started doing and preparing for everything I need to do. Up in the picture that little tiny bottle that is clear is what he receives. It take half of the day to put in him plus the blood is so darn thick that it won't move in the bottle. That tiny bottle is expensive to. It's cost is $20,000.00 per bottle. No that isn't a type-o either. The final bill for one treatment is almost $60,000.00 . Yes my insurance is paying for now or at least till march of this year. I would have never imagined that it could be that much. So god if your listening 1. Cure my Son. 2. If it is meant to be this way then keep providing my insurance to cover the cost.

The first treatment was in November. We are now going on treatment number 3 this Friday. The first treatment he did great for about 2 weeks and and then all hell broke loose. He has been sick with infection after infection since then. and we have also had another infusion but it didn't seem to do much. He is still even taking his antibiotics every day , But his infections don't seem to be going away. I sure hope they do something when we go on Friday. He's just miserable. So if your out there say a pray or two for my son. Thanks for letting me vent God Bless You ALL !!

Smock Coat Finally Done!!!

Thank Heaven's!!! This coat is finally done !!

Announcing the Birth of Catherine Margaret !! Born August 28Th Parents are John and Marissa ! The picture is of Marissa and her only daughter , she also has two boys. This Coat was knit in the 12-18 months. Pattern was written by Debbie Bliss. I have to tell you I like the moss stitch or as some call the seed stitch. It is very pretty. But would I ever knit this coat in that stitch again NO WAY!!. Would I knit this coat again in a different stitch YES. I did post this on Ravelry. I did do a few thing different than the pattern. First I added a hood , along with a garter stitch belt (with double strands of yarn). I didn't do the collar. The yarn I used was Dark Horse Fantasy . I have to tell you is a great yarn . The coat was very heavy to which means it was warm. I can't wait to started on something else. I can tell you this project seemed like it took forever. You can only do the stitch so long before your hands and arms hurt or at least for me that was the case. All in all the baby looks great in it and I 'm glad the momma loves it since she picked the pattern and colors.

Knitting next.

I have to knit my kiddo hats before if get to cold here and then I can finish my UFO projects which include. A shawl , french market back, and a ton of socks.

To day was the day I was born 30 years ago. Here are some of the things I got. The first pictures is of my CLEAR Converse shoes. I found these along time ago and have wanted them every since. These are totally affordable to. I will now be able to show off my sock that I make. As you can see in the picture I have already been wearing them today. I can't beleive no other knitters have discoverd them. I love them.

I also got a great hat and some candle holders and oh Yeah lots of cake.

Yes I have been Knitting!!

Well yes I have been knitting. I know its been along time since I last posted. There has been a lot that has happened around here. First and for most my son started Kindergarten. Can we say yes I never thought he would be able to go to school. Well don't go getting excited just yet. We did make it through the first week with out getting sick. But the Second week not so well we made it about 2 hours the first day (Monday) and have been out since . Hope fully he will be able to return to school this coming week if he's not sick. Now for those who don't know my son has a very low immune system and he takes antibiotics everyday just to be normal. When he get sick he can't just get over it like most people. So if your read this please take the time to educate your children on covering there face when sneezing and coughing. It may seem like no big deal but to children like my son it can be very dangerous.

Now on to knitting.

I have been knitting like a mad women!! I am knitting the Smock Coat by Debbie Bliss. The picture above (the purple) is the back piece. I also have the left front done . I am working on the right front now. I have to tell you this seed stitch is really pretty but so time consuming. I can't wait to get it finished. The baby I am making this for was born Yesterday . So I really need to get it done soon. I will tell you I am not putting a collar on it . I am replacing the collar with a hood. But all in all I can't wait to get it done.

The second picture is of my Shalom Cardigan. Which I might have to rip out!! I have to see what row I screwed up on. The pattern is on Ravelry. If your on there I am yummeeyarn.

Hey, all you Yummee Yarn Customers!!! I will be loading the shop this week!! New colorways are coming out to!!! Yeah!! I put some up last week and they only lasted about 3 hours. I'm so mad right now!! My ditgal Camera is totally broken!! What makes matter worse is right now I can't just go out and buy one. Normally I would. But I have a but load of bills due at the moment. How I found out my camera is broken. I was taking pictures of my duaghter in her armwarmers. That I finally got finshed today. (note I have been knitting them off and on for a year or so) I was taking pictures of her outside. We took maybe two and the thing shut off. So I thought to myself I just need batteries. Go inside to look for some right, wrong don't have any. So then I drive to town and but over price Lithium Batteries. Put them in nothing . Call Kodak they said my camera is broken somewhere on the inside. Which is total crap . I mean IF I HAD DROPPED IT I COULD SEE THAT> BUT I DIDN'T DROP IT!!!! SO I find the receipt bought the thing in October 08 2005. So then Kodak tell me there's only 1 year warranty on the goofy thing. Just great @!!!!! So I mean It has lived a good life and Since 05 I have taken around 4,000 pictures !!
It just sucks because I got a huge shipment of yarn in and I planned on dyeing it and putting it on line in my etsy shop and well now I can't . I can't without Pictures. So I pretty tick off at the moment. I had even planned to release some of my new colorways in the next couple of weeks. Now I can't even do that. Stink bills and cost of living going up. What I need is A VERY EARLY 30Th B-Day present .!!!

Knowing me I will probably buy another Kodak too (eventually) because I have the Kodak All in one printer and the soft ware is already on my computer plus it take great pictures!!!

Graduations

Graduations!! All the way around. My son graduates from Pre-K . Which was a struggle for him b/c of his immune system. The family pictures should have a caption under it saying ( Are we done with pictures YET! ) Then on Friday my baby bother graduated High School. Great Job Brett!! Yeah you did it. I totally feel old now. (We're 11 years and 14 days apart) I hope he gets into a good college or at least gives it a try. I so proud of you Brett!!

In other news its been pretty busy around here. I've been in trying to get everything organized but have way to much stuff to figure it all a place. One day I will get there. For now I'm taking it item by item.

Garden Pictures

I am planting a garden all in pots. See I have a huge rabbit problem and squirrels . So if I put everything in pots they don't touch them. I have planted the following.

Garlic , Tomatoes, Grape Tomatoes , Beef stake Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Honeydew, Strawberries, Jalapeno, Chilies peppers, Bell peppers, Purple Bell peppers, Chives, Garlic Chives, Green Onions, Cabbage, Lettuce, Rosemary, Basil, Purple Basil, Thyme

Everything is growing and I already have strawberries growing . I am So happy that everything is growing . I might start planting some more to . I would like to get a chocolate Bell pepper plant and more garlic planted by this weekend. My garlic and Red Onions are so tall already.

Have you planted your garden yet. I decide to plant this after the food prices keep going up. Maybe this will help.

I'm Alive

I am a very bad blogger. I'm very sorry. Well I promise I have been knitting. I finished a pair of socks for my nieces birthday. Plus I have been knitting a pattern called French Market Bag it's from knitty. I have also started knitting a baby gift for my friend. She's having a girl. The pattern is called Smock Coat by Debbie Bliss. It's such a cute coat for a girl. On the reading front I have finished the book The Friday Night Knitting Club. Let me tell you it was good very good. If you haven't got it go get it . You should be able to find it at Sam's Club for about 8.00 which is a great buy.

In other news the reason I haven't been on here is because my Daughter had surgery on her colon and everything attached to it. Then the very next day I had emergency surgery on my teeth and jaw. The surgery it self was OK. Except I am highly allergic to the stuff that knocks you out to and numbing stuff so I had to be awake and feel the hole thing. Then Recovery time starts Right!! Not for me I wound up being allergic to 3 different types of antibiotics and I had to have the stitches removed was to early because I was allergic to the stitches. Who knew you could be allergic to stitches . Well I am that 1 in 1million case. I have always been that way. I 'm just glad they took them out. I already feel 100% better. Know I have a few more things to add to my allergy list. I would wish what I go through on anyone. I am just glad I can eat and talk know. Plus most of the pain is gone.

On a lite note I planted a garden . I planted everything in pots. Stay tuned for pictures. !!

I have bought a couple of food books . As I read through them I will post information that maybe helpful to you in your life.

BLOOD PRESSURE!!

EAT PLENTY OF : Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh and dried fruits, whole grain cereals, and legumes for the potassium.

CUT DOWN ON: canned and other processed foods with added salt. Fatty foods.

AVOID: Pickled and salty foods. Excessive alcohol.

Who knows what legumes is??

BLEEDING PROBLEMS :

EAT PLENTY OF: Spinach ,Potatoes,Cabbage,Oats , Whole Grain foods, Organ Meats for Vitamin K . ( Me I would just take vitamin K)

Lean meats,poultry,seafood, and other foods hing in iron and vitamin B12
Citrus and other fresh fruits and vegetables for vitamin C .

CUT DOWN ON:
Fatty Fish and other sources of omega-3 fatty acids

AVOID: Alcohol,aspirin and other drugs the suppress blood platelets and clotting .

BLUEBERRIES:

BENEFITS: A good source of dietary fiber. Provides some vitamin C and Iron. May protect against some intestinal upsets and help prevent some urinary tract infections.

DRAWBACKS: Can make stool dark and tarry,which may be mistaken for intestinal bleeding , May be allergens in susceptible persons.

When you cook the blueberries you destroy the Vitamin C

One half -cup of blueberries had only 40 calories , 1mg of fiber, 10mg of vitamin C , 0.7mg of Iron an small amounts of potassium ,foliate, and beta carotene, from the plant form of Vitamin A.

Water Main Break!!!

Water main break on the property!!!Let just say everyone around here has had it share of water pipes breaking. Sunday was spent planting flowers and fixing yet another water pipe. This time it was by my in-laws house. My husband and nephews and bother in-law and father in-law spent the day digging a huge hole and trench to drain all the water just to fix the pipe. Thank heaven they didn't have to dig the whole drive way up and hill side. But I will tell you my husband is 6ft and well you can see all the water and how big the hole is. Good Job Boys!! The pipe is finally fixed. How many women think there husband is hot when they are dirty?

In other news.. Now that I am done being sick (hopefully) I can getting back to knitting. I have been working on two different socks. I have been making a sock for my self and one for my cousin who wants to knee high socks. In the knee high sock I am putting a cable pattern down the back of the sock. Hopefully she will like it pictures to come soon.

Right now I am currently read two books . The first on is A New Earth (it was on Oprah's book list) It definitely makes you think. My husband and I are both reading it and I have to say he's currently beating me. I am also reading A Murderous Yarn by Monica Ferris. It's about a yarn shop that does everything but they love needle point. This author has a whole serious about yarn. They are all murder mystery's . How cool Right? I also have on order The Friday Night Knitting Club.. It should be here by this Friday. I can't wait.

A Funny Story

This was emailed to me by a friend of mind named Cindy. I just had to share it because it was one of those things you could see happening to you.

One day I met a sweet gentleman and fell in love. When it became apparent that we would marry, I made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Some months later, on my birthday, my car broke down on the way home from work. Since I lived in the countryside I called my husband and told him that I would be late because I had to walk home. On my way, I passed by a small diner and the odor of baked beans was more than I could stand. With miles to walk, I figured that I would walk off any ill effects by the time I reached home, so I stopped at the diner and before I knew it, I had consumed three large orders of baked beans. All the way home, I made sure that I released all the gas. Upon my arrival, my husband seemed excited to see me and exclaimed delightedly: "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight." He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinner table. I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the telephone rang. He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call. The baked beans I had consumed were still affecting me and the pressure was becoming most unbearable, so while my husband was out of the room I seized the opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go. It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a pulpwood mill. I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously. Then, shifting to the other cheek, I ripped off three more. The stink was worse than cooked cabbage Keeping my ears carefully tuned to the conversation in the other room, I went on like this for another few minutes. The pleasure was indescribable. When eventually the telephone farewells signaled the end of my freedom, I quickly fanned the air a few more times with my napkin, placed it on my lap and folded my hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with myself. My face must have been the picture of innocence when my husband returned, apologizing for taking so long. He asked me if I had peeked through the blindfold, and I assured him I had not. At this point, he removed the blindfold, and twelve dinner guests seated around the table chorused: "Happy Birthday!"

Crazy Weather

Can we say Crazy Weather over here!!!!! It was 70 degrees 1 day ago and today I have about 71/2 inches of snow and suppose to have more snow. I mean can we pick a season already . I mean totally hot then in the 30's and below. This weather is not good for my little one. He needs everyone prayers right now. We found out on top of his immune problem he has very little memory cells which I still have to do some more research on. We are back on all the medicines and currently sick . We did get a booster shot and if the medicine and shot don't work will have to go to infusion treatment but that is a last restore hopefully we don't have to go thought that. Everything I have read on that say it can be very painful and long process for a 5 year old its not going to be a very pleasant experience.

Wow!! Where in the world did the time go!!! I'm a very bad blogger. Sorry for not updating sooner.
Well I was able to go to the Stitches Convention with my Aunt Sharon. Can I say wow what fun. Talk about having a little time to my self!!! What a wonderful way to have time to play with all different types of yarn. I was in heaven. I really thought I would buy more than what I did. But trying to choose from all the yarns was to much. I only bought stuff I couldn't find at home. Which was what I set out to do. Here's the list of yarns I bought. The pictures will be up soon to !!

I did meet some really great people who were apart of Ravelry. Hello to all my new friends. I have to find everyone on there and add them to my friends.

While we were there it rained but it was nothing that my aunt and I haven't seen before except that all the California people where all bundled up like it was freezing there . But It was nice temps to us. I understand that it was cold for you California people. But what was with the boards holding the Palm trees up and the fences. I know palms have shallow roots but what about the fences.

We ate at two different place there one was called Hot Pot City !! It was a very cool experience. It was really neat it had a barbecue grill in the center of your table and all the food was raw. You cooked it at the table. Which was totally neat in the center of the grill was a pot of water so could make soup or cook noodles or vegetables. I loved it and I think my Aunt Sharon did to. I wish we had something like that here. So California people try it out you live there. I know I would go there again when I come back !!! The next place we ate at was a Black Angus Steakhouse. Let me tell you the atmosphere was like a high end restaurant but this was totally affordable . I was impressed when the manager heard it was are first time there and brought us some fried zucchini with a cucumber sauce and it wasn't no little plate either . It would fed about 4-6 people . My Aunt Sharon had a steak I had some flat bread with steak and blue cheese on it. Plus we had a shrimp and spinach artichoke dip with a spicy kick to it. Everything was wonderful. I would go there again as well. That was my trip in a nut shell!!

I am so proud of myself !! This hat was knit for Matt's Christmas present. I have to say at first I was a little scared of doing this pattern b/c it requires floats and I am a super tight knitter. But I have to say IT CAME OUT JUST RIGHT! Yeah plus he loved it I might have to make my self on as well. I got the pattern of Raverly. I just love it . I did use my own hat pattern with the designers chart. I got two alligator scarfs done as well, plus a bag, 2 pair of socks . Thank goodness Christmas is done. Right now I am knitting a wrap/scarf for my sons teacher. Then I have one more pair of socks to do for the other teacher. I can't wait to go back and knit something for my self . But my husband and son are bugging me for a flames hat. Where to find the time.

On other end of news How was every ones Christmas? Mine was OK. We mainly focused on the kids. But I did get two new knitting magazines and some yarn that my children picked out for there scarfs. ( Or at least that was there way of saying please make me scarfs mom)

HAND DYED SOCK CLUB!!

HEY EVERYONE! Knit and Caboodle in St. Charles, Mo is having a sock club. They will be doing a years worth of sock yarn. I believe you get sock yarn every other month. Every time you get a sock yarn it will be from a different hand dyed company. How fun does that sound. ( i can't wait) Plus all colorways from the hand dyers will be created just for the people who sign up. Oh how my minds working over time. I better get my patterns lined up now. I can't wait to see everything. Plus maybe even surprises along the way. Can we say I'm jumping right out of my seat hear. I am about to explode just thinking of it.

I have to just come out and admit something. I am a sock yarn junkie . This is my addiction in life.

I would like everyone to check out the banners I put up of for AirZone Too. If you are one who has allergies or a child with an illness you need to check this site out. I can tell you that I have these products in my home. I am not one to believe in things I read. But this is a company I have tested and that I swear by. For those of you who don't know me personally here is my story.

I have a son with an extremely low immune system he doesn't develop the Immunoglobulins. Now there are five types of Immune antibodies your system does develop. With out these antibodies you get infections very easy. This is your lesson.

My child is low in all levels . He gets sick alot. We do go through treatments at Cardinal Glenno Hospital which is a children's hospital in my area. Now you are probably wondering why I am telling you this. First I will tell you after I was given this machine by my Aunt Sharon and Uncle George I am a believer. They also gave us a little machine for my son to where around his neck. (It's called a personal air buddy) My son doctors have said he could go to pre-school for three hours
as a test to see if he would be able to go to regular school or have to be home schooled. With the help of the system and personal air buddy he has been able to attend pre-school for three hours a day. It has cut down the infections he has gotten. Yes he has still got sick but just not as much. With the systems help it has cut down on the infections. Oh yeah I almost forgot . I do have a big one in my house as well. Which I love simply because my husband has the same immune system (He only has one low level) but he still get sick easy to. When were at home I haven't had to worry about my allergies acting up either. This machine is wonderful. Now the Laundry Pure system is neat too. It is just like the air machines . It kills all bacteria and germs. Plus you never have to use any more laundry soap. It can only be used with cold water . But can we say cool. Plus the dirtiest laundry gets clean, the only thing is you might have to use pre treat with shout or something but that it.

Christmas knitting list

I have finished the alligator scarf and started on the second one . I only have like five more to do before Christmas and I have five pairs of sock to make to . I have a feeling in the next couple of weeks I will be a knitting machine. All the little kids in my family all decide they only want those alligator scarfs. I will have knit them in a ton of colors. But that's what makes them happy and a lot cheaper for me. (yeah) In between all the Christmas knitting I have knit two hats for birthday presents. I will post pictures later I hope. I still need to finish my daughters grow with me arm warmers . I also need to write the pattern down so everyone else can make a pair .
Oh so much to do so little time. To many irons in the fire.

Well lets just say a lot of projects on the needles. I have like 9 alligator scarfs to knit (only one one the needle) I have a vest on the needles I need to finish. I have designed some arm warms with fingerless gloves at the end for my daughters 9 Th birthday next week ( I am hoping to get the finished in time). Plus I have my son's birthday two days before my daughters b-day . Can we say crazy over here. So much to do not enough time. Now if I only had a gizmo to stop time just for like 12 hours or so I might be able to get ahead of things to do. Anyway just want to post and say I didn't for get about the Contest I planned . I will though have to put it on hold until after all the b-day stuff is over. So it's unveiling will be pushed back about a week. Just gives all you peeps more time to spread the word. Alligator Scarf

Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting sooner every body's been sick in my house. Now that I have energy again I can get things done I need to. Any ways I bought the Alligator Scarf kit from Morehouse Farms. Needless to say the who ever wrote the patter is a total genies. Totally easy to read and knit . What a totally cute ideal. I know all the kid under 10 will be getting one of these for Christmas ( that is about nine total) they all have picked there favorite colors for the alligator to be. On the down side I must say the yarn that came with it was not very good quality. Let just say its definitely burnt or over cooked in the dyeing process. Now I know what it looks like burnt because I myself have burnt yarn. I am in the process of sending there yarn back. Hopefully they will do the right thing and exchange the yarn for not burnt yarn. So far they have said that to send back the pattern and yarn for a refund. But as I told the lady that I didn't want the refund just different yarn they said they could exchange the yarn for a 2-ply. I beginning to wonder if they don't know what burnt yarn looks like. I mean I would never sell burnt yarn . To all those who have bought the yarn if its fuzzy looking and smells bad and basically falls apart its not just the yarn it's burnt. Plus it had wood in it which I can deal with but really can't deal with the smell or fuzzy look. Any ways I will let you know what happens or how it plays out.

Listen up people, I have found heaven on a spoon!! It's called Dark Chocolate Dreams !! ( Peanut Butter Blended with Rich Dark Chocolate) It's even Gluten Free, has no Hydrogenated oils, and no Refined Sugar. Can we say heaven in a bottle. This company is totally awesome. The have a ton of different flavored peanut butters, and get this they have an online store and catalog. Who knew . There website is www.ilovepeanutbutter.com you have to check them out . My Walmart super center carries this flavor and white chocolate wonderful and cinnamon raisin flavored. But be aware its about $ 3.60 a jar . But boy is it worth every penny I will definitely be buying more . My children are big peanut butter eaters. Well lets just say this is a treat for mom. Besides I can only handle about a spoonful at a time ( my guilty pleasure ,just don't tell my doctors) Try them out next time you shop to see if you like them there worth it.

Knitting Project Updates!!

The first picture you will see is of my second Peek-A-Boo-Cloche. This hat is totally mine. I love it. I was hard to get the picture to come out right so if its hard to see the under color Sorry. It doesn't look like that in person. It's just the brown yarn has metallic thread in it. Makes it hard to photograph.

The next picture is of the project that I started today. I haven't decided if its going to be a Christmas present for someone or something for me. Only time will tell. It is a pattern from the Interweave Knits Magazine ( fall 2007). The pattern is called Concentric Vest. I have only been knitting on it about 30 minutes or so. If you haven't check out the magazine it has some cute patterns in it.

In other news I found the Scarf pattern that I am going to be making for some kids I know for Christmas. It's a really cute pattern down side you have to buy a kit just to get the pattern . It is called the Alligator Scarf by Morehouse Merino. So if your close friends of mine and would like it let me know. I can't wait to get them made I have about 7 of them to make. Sorry I haven't been updating. I have been extremely busy. Which is a total good thing ! I started knitting another hat. I found this great yarn with metallic thread in it. I can't wait to get it done. I might get a chance to knit this week.

The picture above is a great ideal for dinner. It get my kids to eat something good for them. Sorry I couldn't get is out of the pan without breaking it. I would have taken the picture on a plate or something but this will do.

Here's the recipe

2lbs ground chicken

3eggs

2/3 cup milk

3/4 cup bread crumbs

1 cup oatmeal

1/2 cup grated carrots

1/2 cup onions

1 cup shredded cheddar

1 tbsp garlic powder

1tsp parsley

1/4 cup finely chopped sun dried tomatoes

pepper

salt

Sauce

1 cup ketchup

1 cup packed brown sugar

2tbsp spicy mustard

1/4 cup maple syrup

oven temp 350

Mix eggs ,milk, bread crumbs, spices ,oatmeal, together. Then add carrots, onion,tomatoes, mix well. Add ground chicken, mix with hands. Spray pan with non stick spray. (evoo) After well mix take some out and shape head put in pan the make tummy, legs and arms. Make sure to push all parts together so you have no seems. Cook at 350 for 40 min

To make sauce mix ketchup,brown sugar, mustard,syrup together . Stir until brown sugar is dissolved.

After 30 minutes of cook time spread 1/2 sauce over meatloaf and return to oven for another 40 minutes. you can save the rest of the sauce for after you cut it . I just heat the rest of sauce up and set it on the table . Make sure to let meatloaf rest 10 min before serving.

I finished my hat. It's on my daughters head. She likes it way to much. I will have to make her one. It turned out better than I expected. Thank goodness its finally done. I think I only restarted the lace part like three of four times. Because I would loose a stitch somewhere. It is going to be super warm this winter. I will have to make my aunt one for her birthday or something. Or maybe I will give her this one and make another one. She really likes the color's. I also finished a spa sock I have been working on. It's made with a yarn that is called OH MY! by Plymouth Yarn. Ladies if you have not felt this yarn your totally missing out. It's some of the softest yarn I have ever felt . The socks will feel so good you may not want to take them off. It's like butter on your feet. Yummee!!

Just Need Time To Breath !!

First now that I have time to type. Sorry for not updating sooner. I had family reunion , Birthday parties etc. I Have been knitting promise. First pictures is of my friend Erin. She turned 30. She is wearing a shrug that I made for her for her birthday. I thought it was a perfect gift because she's always cold. I did have to alter the pattern for the collar. It originally called for like 209 stitches. I think I tripled that,because I didn't have any give in it. But with more stitches it fit like a glove. SO HAPPY 30Th BIRTHDAY ERIN. She is pictured with my daughter.

This picture above is my sock that I started. Its the jay walker pattern. The yarn is Yummee Yarn Self Striping. I haven't named it yet . I am thinking of calling it Punk Girl . If you would like this colorway feel free to email me at Yummeeyarn.gmail.com. It will be in my shop soon.

These pictures are of a hat I am doing. It's my first lace project . Its called Peek-A-Boo-Cloche.

It's knit in one piece. It is also a double layered hat. I think it is going rather well. The pattern is from a book called Lace Style. I hope no one is disappointed that I haven't updated in a while . After this week things will slow down and I can get back to updating.

Way Cool Vintage Needles!!!

Vintage Needles!! Way Cool! My mother-in-law went to Texas to help her Aunt Ruth move into a new place. She brought me back some Susan Bates needles that Aunt Ruth had used. The first pictures is a entire set of straight needles (on the left side of pic)size 0-5. I have never seen that small of regular knitting needles unless they were double pointed, which these are not. On the right side there are sets of double pointed needles and crochet needles. These are totally cool.

I also got some patterns that were published in 1965-1967 the cost was $0.35to a $1.50. There were some pattern's she wrote her self that aren't labeled. I thinking about knitting them up. That way I can take a picture of them and then make a scrapbook page with the original pattern and her picture to preserve them. This women loved to chart thing to. Its cool seeing how things were made way back when. Plus I wish that we could have the price of that time period to.

The next picture is of some items in the original packages that have not been used. Check out the price tags. I love the original Susan Bates logo and pictures. I wonder why they stopped making the needles like that. I am very grateful that my mother-in-law thought of me to give these to. I totally love them and will keep them and pass them on to my daughter or son.

In The Dog House!!

This picture is so cute!! My hubby went to the dog house and got all the way in it!! He actually fit which was shocking because he's 6ft tall. I thought my kids were joking when they said dad's in the dog house! We bought our dog Princess a new dog house. He was trying to get her to get in it. Now I can say go sleep in the dog house!!

In other news I finished the sock I was working on for my niece!! Isn't she cute!! She loves Dora so I dyed some yarn for her and made her a pair of socks. She didn't want to take them off. She is three years old!! Now she say I need more Dora socks . She love when I give her stuff . I need to make her sister a pair next. She will have to pick out her colors though.

Last week we planted 2oo+ trees / shrubs. They are around 18inches apart. See we live near a ball field . So instead of a fence it will be a tree/shrub fence! They are suppose to grow extremely fast. They haven't even been in the ground a week and they already have buds and leaves sprouting. Some are Willow hybrid trees and I'm not quiet sure what the shrubs are. I just now there suppose to get really tall. In the pictures is my in laws, the bother in law and wife, and my husband and children. It was a good thing the rented a digger. The tree's had to be planted a foot down. Maybe this will keep the ball people from driving in our yard or thinking the can play in our yard. Hopefully it might not be so loud too! We'll see though.

Eye Candy

Here is some yarn I have dyed. The three on right are from wool 2 dye 4. ( not the little one) Lovely yarn, would totally buy it. I did knit with them I will have to take pic of them sometime. The two on the left and the little one I was playing with colors. I got new colors, and the name of the colors don't really have much to do with the actual color. So of course I renamed them. My niece Hailey wants me to dye her some yarn and make some socks for her feet. She is in love with Dora. So I am thinking of dying yarn to match Dora . Maybe even self Striping. I might even make some for Yummee Yarn, of course maybe name it Hailey!! She is so cute!!

If my computer wouldn't take forever I would put her picture up. Maybe after this week!
In other news everyone click on Yarn Artist blog and check out the socks she made with yummee yarn!! I totally love the way they came out. You all will have to check out her designs that she makes. They are so beautiful!! She is super talented lady.!! I just think the socks are great!! Thanks Ellene for showing the picture!! I will have to repeat that one. I do think I am going to quit doing swatches of the yarn . What do you think?

My daughter is now officially out of school. She is going to be a third grader. Wow I totally feel old now. She had all A with 98% in every subject. It's almost weird knowing how smart she is. She was test for the Gates program, and was excepted to the program. But at are school the children who are in it, don't get to socialize with all the other classrooms. They have the same teachers and students until I think 5Th or 6Th grade. I mean my daughter has made a ton of friends . If I put her in the program then she wouldn't be a social butterfly that she is. Now I am not saying the program is bad. But from what I seen of my friends who have kid in the program and how they say I wish I would have not put them in it ! I kinda of seen what they went through and said I don't want that for my child. I think I made the right choice. Beside she likes her teacher.. I just feel old . I can't believe my first born is now a third grader. I am very proud of her!!

Socks and Carpet Cleaner

I finished one of the socks for my husband. It is huge, he has a big foot . I had 62grams of yarn from some of the yarn I dye. It was called face fan number 8. Needless to say it was for my husband. At first I thought I would not have enough to do a pair of sock for his size 12 foot but I was wrong I have plenty. The sock pattern is one I designed and they I made the toe stronger with going over the stitches with a whip stitch. He also has a wide foot and this sock fits like a glove. I finished while I was at the hospital with him. I am working on sock number two now. I love the fact that it came out self striping. I will have to repeat this color way for the etsy store.

In other news I was talking with my friend Andrea about carpet cleaners. Well she told me about this cleaner called Folex . I had never heard of it before . After talking with her I decide to give it a whirl !! This is like a miracle in a bottle . Let me tell you I used a entire bottle in one day. ( I even shampoo my carpets every 30 days) I had tar on the carpet crusties of the hubby, plus my son busted a ink pin all over my carpet . It removed stains that have been there way before I came around . It is truly works great. It is pictured at the top. I love love it!! Try it out if you see it.

Going Crazy!!

Wow! Well it has been a whirl wind around me. A couple of weeks ago my son woke up and could barley breath. He was grasping for air and trying to cry but couldn't. So we took him to the E.R. ! They said he had croup and his windpipe was trying to close . I told the doctor that he was fine when he went to bed! He didn't have anything wrong with him. They gave him breathing treatments and medication. Which helped and them they sent us home with a breathing machine. They said because my son has immune system problems that the onset of the croup would do that to him. Totally scary!! It's a very good thing that when something happens I have been trained to know what to do. Still I wouldn't wish that experience on anyone. Then on May 12 th my husband woke up with a sore stomach, which he said I must of pulled a muscle in the stomach . Or so he thought. They day went on, he did some yard work with the bobcat . The pain got worse he could not stand up straight all the rest of the day. I told him is probably was his appendix. Of course that's like talk to a brick wall. He went to bed early and around 12am he could barley move . Still he said he was fine . Saturday around 7:30 am I said you can't even walk you don't have a choice I am taking you to the E.R. ! I put him in the car and head to the hospital. They do a cat scan on the abdomen. They said the appendix was a 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Which means he need surgery soon. Another 21/2 hours go buy and finally got to have surgery by this time it was 2 pm mind you we arrived at 9:05 am !! The surgeon comes out a says his appendix was ruptured and is was very nasty he also said it had stones in it and the had to me removed because the fell out when removing the appendix. He also said they got all the infection. Who new that appendix could have stones!! I certainly never heard of it. After surgery they moved us to a room . Well there's were the night mare began. The nurse on Saturday night was great. The one we had on Sunday was a night mare. The entire day she came in one time . I mean husband had loose stool (sorry for that info) and I pressed the button to call some one down. If they would have told me the machine he was hooked up to could be unplugged I would have done that so he could make it to the bathroom. But no one came I had to find the break room and ask for help . The help I got was yeah you can unplug it . No came to change the sheet or anything I had to do it . I mean I'm sorry but when your in the medical field you should do your job. Other wise don't be a dam nurse. Because no one check on him on Sunday he got a major infection. Come Monday he had to get a tube stuck up his nose down to the stomach . It was put there to pump out the yuck. I mean I won't go in to details but I knew that something wasn't right. He finally go to come home on Wednesday evening . Now he's recovering , he's very sore and tired. Let this be a lesson to those of you who don't want to do your job or hate it . Remember the patient didn't ask to have an illness and they would like to get treated with respect to. I know some people can be hard to deal with but if you just don't want to help people find a different line of work. I will be contact the medical board on the nurse who did nothing and caused a infection .

Well there goes another week. I started making stitch markers. The one in the picture is for Breast Cancer Awareness . I found hand made glass beads. I have made about 8 different sets of stitch markers. I even did some that will do double duty. Meaning that one side can go on a size 0-6 needle and the other side can go on a size 6-10.5 needle. What do you think?? I would love to hear comments ??

In other news I have been knitting socks for my husband and man does he have a huge foot. Hopefully I can get them done this week. But first I have to get some knitting swatches done first. We our getting ready to put up some Self Striping Yarn ... I can't wait to see how the swatches come out .

All over the place

Hello world! I am just getting over a sinus infection from hell. I have never had one that produced blister in my nose and throat.. Let me tell you ladies it was not pretty on my end. In other news we put more yarn on etsy. I put up some stitch markers I made as well. I have more stitch markers to put up but my computer take forever. I wish I had cable or dsl.

On another note I am doing the weight watchers diet , let me tell you it really works. The first two weeks you feel like your starving to death. Then your stomach gets use to it and just a little bit of food fills you up. I really would rather not measure my food or cook from someone else's recipes. I love to cook( I have been doing it since about the age of 3) . The one thing on this diet I miss the most is Chinese food!!!!!!!! That is my all time favorite . If it was up to me I wouldn't be pushing so hard for this diet to work but it's doctor's orders. They say I need to get down to 105. I haven't been that weight since I had my daughter and she's 8 . But I would be happy with 125-120 at least then I would have a hole new pile of clothes ( which are in my basement ) I tell you sometimes I think doctor's are out just to get your money. I went in for an ultra sound of my gallbladder. Then they lost the results for 3.5 weeks!!! I mean that's the way my luck goes. They found my results except now they say that I have Fatty Liver Disease!!!! I mean what the heck. The real shocker is I DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL !! I am allergic to it (seriously ) I 've never been drunk or drank a beer for that matter. As my luck goes the doc say it's part of me being overweight and cholesterol being high among other things, who knew being 50 pounds over your suggest weight could be so harmful. Thanks for letting me vent.

On another note my daughter lost three teeth finally!!! They have been loose for around 8 months ( she won't let you touch them they have to fall out on there own). She is going to be a super model one day !! She so tall and skinny.. She has the attitude already . But I love her anyway. I also have a 4yr old son I will post a picture of him too. He is a little ham too.What funny is my daughter is a little social butterfly at school and my son like to ride with his daddy in his dump truck . In the trucker world he is know as the little gunner after his daddy !! There pic are above . Thanks for letting me rant and rave!!!

My Hand painted self striping Yarn

My daughter has claimed this pair of socks ( She loves them ) . Fajita burger w/ oinon and mushroom sauce

My fajita burger with onion and baby Bella mushroom sauce !!!!! This burger is very yummy! It is made the with lean beef , 1tbsp of chili powder, 1 1/2 tsp of cumin, 1tbsp of hot sauce, 1 tbsp of grill seasoning, mix together. Make patties to you size then grill them. Chop 1 sweet onion, 1 pkg of baby portebella mushrooms ( sliced,) fry in evoo ( extra virgin olive oil) in pan, when mushrooms are almost done add onions. when they become clear in color then add 2tbsp of a-1 steak sauce cook for 2-3 minutes then spoon over burger!! Enjoy

You can swap beef for chicken or pork to !!! Serve with cheese or plain.

Good Bye mop!!! Hello floor mate spin scrub. Well lady's have you ever mopped your floor and still get dirty socks. Well have I got the answer to all your problems !!!!!!!! This product is totally awesome. I can no longer live with just a regular mop.. Or broom for that mater.. I put some pictures up so you can see what I mean. Well I did test this product very well. The pictures you will see is what dirt and grime I got up after I mopped with a regular mop. Can we say eewwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean think how many times you mop you're floor and leave the dirty water on it ....... This product puts clean water down and suck up the dirty water and it drys the floor as well!! I love the fact that it scrubs too. I have gotten dried jam of the floor that did on purpose. Plus my children are great at spilling drinks on the floor ( all mothers know this ) I just pull the machine out and suck it up and the wash and dry it all at the same time ... I mean talk about more time for me , with help like this !!!!!! Can we all say yeah !!!!!!!

Here are my socks . They are finally done , now all I have to do is right down the pattern I designed and get it out of my head. For those who are wondering why the middle of the sock looks funny. Well that is so you have extra support on the in step of the foot because I have flat feet. Any way here you go world welcome to my great sock. I think I am going to sell my sock pattern. Hello world. I just finished my first felting project!! I felted a handbag. It looks OK I guess , Although I did put some fun eye lash yarn with it . Now comes the hard part handle or just snap? I all knitted and designed an awesome sock pattern. I am thinking of selling it. I have knit hats scarves and other things. I got started knitting about 5-6 months ago. I owe a great deal of my knitting knowledge to my dear friend Andrea!!!! She's the greatest at knitting she definitely a natural. Her knitting is so beautiful . She like an old pro but very young !! So Thank You Andrea for showing me the ropes!!!!!!!!! Who knew yarn could be so yummy!!!!!!!

How to relax.

Today is such a great day outside!! It's almost a shame to be indoors. But I can't help it!! I'm addicted to knitting. It's so relaxing I take it everywhere !! My husband say If my hands aren't busy knitting there cooking. I have a passion for making food! I've been cooking since I was about 3 yrs old. I love it too!!
